Donald Briggs Honored to be Elected to the AAJ – Board of Governors

Rockport, Maine – Attorney Don Briggs – from the law firm Briggs & Wholey, LLC located Rockport, Maine — has been elected to the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice (AAJ). This is a significant honor bestowed upon very few Maine Trial Lawyers. The AAJ Board of Governors are comprised of two or more Governors selected from each affiliated state trial lawyer organization. The Board of Governors is the governing body of the AAJ and is responsible for formulating the budget and directing all Association policy and lobbying efforts which have far reaching effects upon the viability of our nation’s civil justice system.
About Don Briggs:

Attorney Briggs is a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, and member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and has extensive experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, and wrongful death litigation. He has served as the Knox County Bar Association President since 2006. Mr. Briggs has been recognized annually by the New England Super Lawyers Magazine as a top attorney for the state of Maine since 2007, and has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America for the last three years. Most recently, Briggs & Wholey has been chosen for a “Best Law Firms” ranking for 2014 for Plaintiff’s Personal Injury by U.S. News & World Report.
A resident of Camden, Attorney Briggs earned his law degree from Suffolk University Law School with honors, and his undergraduate degree from Holy Cross College. Briggs has been practicing law for over three decades, and working for Maine residents since 1988.
