Don Briggs has been in practice for more than 25 years and has been practicing in mid-coast Maine since 1988. He is a board certified civil trial lawyer, a status held by less than 1 percent of Maine's lawyers, and an honors graduate of Suffolk University Law School. Mr. Briggs is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Past President of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association.
Alison Mynick began practicing in Maine in 2004, after working for 12 years in personal injury law firms in New Jersey. Alison has participated in multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of patients and their families, drawing on her past experience as a Registered Nurse. Her experience gives Briggs & Counsel's clients the advantage in the research and skill necessary to prove the seriousness of their injuries from car accidents, medical malpractice and other personal injury negligence cases.
Corinne Tozier, Office Manager
Corinne’s smile and courteous greeting are often our client’s first impression of Briggs & Counsel’s office. But as your case progresses you will see that there is much more to Corinne than her calm and professional demeanor. When an attorney is not immediately available to take a telephone call, it is often Corinne who will make sure that your question, concern or message is understood, and relayed to an attorney promptly and accurately.
Michelle, Legal Secretary/Medical Record Specialist
Communicating the fact that your injury had a serious effect on your health is central to your personal injury case. Michelle is the capable voice on the telephone reminding you to forward copies of medical bills to Briggs & Counsel, talking to insurance companies about medical payments, and reminding your Doctor’s office to provide our office with the medical records necessary to win your case.
Jean Payne, Legal Assistant
Jean Payne, who earlier in her career assisted Don Briggs in his personal injury practice, joined Briggs & Counsel in the fall of 2010 and brings a wide variety of experience as a Legal Assistant with over 25 years in Knox County law offices. She also handles the majority of our bookkeeping. Jean is pleased to be back as an employee.
Lori Randolph, Legal Assistant
Lori Randolph recently began working for Briggs & Counsel in March 2011, after a few years away from the legal field. With more than 12 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, she is busy in the area of medical malpractice preparing various legal and litigation documents along with scheduling numerous appointments, hearings and depositions.
